The Mindful Practitioner, 2014 date to be announced
Vancouver, BC ~ Saturday and Sunday 10am - 5:30pm
With Murray Feldman & Sunyata Calogeros-Smith
~ Bringing a Deeper Awareness to the Healing Relationship
In the healing arts, success in practice depends as much on the internal qualities and “personhood” of the practitioner as it does on our knowledge and understanding of the subject.
The qualities that are helpful to develop include empathy and compassion; trust in ourselves and in the healing process; clarity of perception; non-judgment; attunement; ability to notice non-verbal signals; loving presence and acceptance.
In this experiential workshop we will utilize mindfulness for self study, to deepen our ability to attune to others and to sharpen our skills of observation. We will further explore the subtle patterns that can hold us back from being fully present with our clients.
This workshop is suitable for students and practitioners at all levels and will assist you in refining your internal practitioner skills, developing an expanded self awareness and enabling your healing work to deepen without detriment to your own well-being.
